After drawing "The Artist" I realized how much I miss drawing. Summer is my slow season for commissions, I only have a few for June-August, so I decided to take on a bit of a side project.
I'm around small children 24 hours a day. Besides my own son, who is three, I have quite a few mini dance student, nieces, nephews, the list goes on. I find myself constantly saying things that I never in my life thought would come out of my mouth. "Stop riding the turtle or we're going home!", "no, pickles do not go there", and my person favorite from a friend "stop licking the cat and get his tail out of your nose!".
So, my idea is to start illustrating these WHAT DID I JUST SAY?!? moments. Maybe on day compile them into a children's book, who knows? I'd like to know what ridiculous things have you found yourself saying to the children in your life. What were the circumstances that made you say it?
I think we could get some really interesting pictures, if not a few good laughs out of this.
Thank you guys, can't wait to hear what you have!

Hello
So... it's been about a year and a half since I've posted anything on DA. I apologize. And to those of you who have tried to contact me with no response, I'm especially sorry. Without getting into too many details, there's been some family issues and a move to a new state, new jobs, new school for my kiddo... just a whole lot of adjustments.
Through it all there's still been art. Probably the only thing that kept me halfway sane. I'll be posting a lot of new work.
Thank you all for sticking with me. I appreciate it.
Devious Journal Entry
So I have been away FOREVER. I have been working the entire time, trust me, I just haven't had time to post anything. Christmas orders were crazy this year, which I'm so grateful for, but it didn't leave me much time for anything else. Plus my actual job. Plus family stuff. Plus a book series that I got way too interested in... Long story short, if you have messaged me or commented on anything I'm sorry that I haven't replied and I promise I will. I'll (fingers crossed) find a moment to post some new sculptures as well.
Thanks guys!
Press Pack?
Hello all,
I've got a quick question that unfortunately needs to be answered as soon as humanly possible. Hooray for being sick and not getting things done on time!
I've teamed up with another artist who will be at a HUGE event. She's planning on handing out USBs with all of our information on it. She's asked me to created a Press Pack that she can load on to the USBs. Now, I've done paper Press Packs before, but not digital. I suck in the digital world. How can I make this? Do I just send links to things that are already published online or is there a way to make something where all of the info exists and attach a link to that? One
Thank You!
So I was just given a Premium Membership. Because I suck at technology, I can't figure out who gave it to me to personally thank them. In the hopes that they see this, thank you. It is very appreciated!

Reminds me of the time that our daughter (who was 6 years old at the time) was given some free boiled crawdads in Louisiana... at first she couldn't understand why Dad and I didn't want any (even though the shells were bright red from the cayenne pepper and other hot spices )... of course she soon figured out why! and wanted lots of water to cool off her mouth.
The next morning... we're all riding along in the motorhome... when out of the blue she says "It's in the breast milk" To say we were stumped was an understatement! So she explained that Cajuns in Louisiana can eat all the hot food they want... and never know it... because their mommas ate hot food when they were nursing ...and by the time they were old enough to know their tastebuds were already burned out!
Kids have such a great view of things!
