After drawing "The Artist" I realized how much I miss drawing.  Summer is my slow season for commissions, I only have a few for June-August, so I decided to take on a bit of a side project.

I'm around small children 24 hours a day.  Besides my own son, who is three, I have quite a few mini dance student, nieces, nephews, the list goes on.  I find myself constantly saying things that I never in my life thought would come out of my mouth.  "Stop riding the turtle or we're going home!", "no, pickles do not go there", and my person favorite from a friend "stop licking the cat and get his tail out of your nose!".

So, my idea is to start illustrating these WHAT DID I JUST SAY?!? moments.  Maybe on day compile them into a children's book, who knows?  I'd like to know what ridiculous things have you found yourself saying to the children in your life.  What were the circumstances that made you say it?

I think we could get some really interesting pictures, if not a few good laughs out of this.

Thank you guys, can't wait to hear what you have!

:iconlforplz::lmao: Reminds me of the time that our daughter (who was 6 years old at the time) was given some free boiled crawdads in Louisiana... at first she couldn't understand why Dad and I didn't want any (even though the shells were bright red from the cayenne pepper and other hot spices :iconkillitwithfire:)... of course :giggle: she soon figured out why! :D and wanted lots of water to cool off her mouth.
The next morning... we're all riding along in the motorhome... when out of the blue she says "It's in the breast milk" :#1: To say we were stumped was an understatement! :evillaugh: So she explained that Cajuns in Louisiana can eat all the hot food they want... and never know it... because their mommas ate hot food when they were nursing :iconmomoglompplz: ...and by the time they were old enough to know  their tastebuds were already burned out! :lmao:

Kids have such a great view of things! :squee: :iconjoyloveplz:
