Wizard of Oz Book Sculpture

A friend recently got in touch with me about doing a Wizard of Oz book sculpture. She only wanted the ruby slippers done, in order to keep costs down. Well, she bought the book herself, and I just couldn't help myself. As fanatical as some people are about Alice in Wonderland, that's me with Oz. As a dancer, Judy Garland is right up there with Fred Astaire on my idols list. So...I kind of went crazy on this one. The scene is the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion carrying a sleeping Dorothy out of the deadly poppy field. Figures are original illustrations from the book that I've hand colored. The yellow brick road, which isn't very visible in this photo, is actually put together brick by brick. I did also do the ruby slippers. I'll post those next.
