Commissioned piece made from Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird". The client and I went back and forth on the idea for this for a while. We were debating a courthouse scene or something a little more abstract. Obviously, we opted for the abstract. We have the judge's gavel on the left side of the book, the tree and mockingbird on the right. Feathers are "floating" down from the bird to rest along the gavel.
I'm really happy with how this one turned out. Maybe I'll step into the abstract more often.
