Commissioned piece. Milo, the tollbooth, Princesses Rhyme and Reason and Tock, the watchdog. This one took FOREVER. There's a lot of detail in the trees, dresses and car that were time consuming but, unfortunately, don't photograph well. This was my first car and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. The client asked me to incorporate numbers and letters somehow so I used them as leaves on the trees. I've been told "The Phantom Tollbooth" is a modern day version of "Alice in Wonderland". I didn't have the opportunity to read it, it's been a little hectic around here lately, but it's on my list!
I love the phantom tollbooth!
OMG i loved the phantom tollbooth. this really brings back memories
Magnificent! The numbers and letters are fantastic!
The Phantom Tollbooth is amazing. I read it in fifth grade - it's got all of the same edges as Alice in Wonderland and more. Read it. Such a great book...
Fantastic work! I liked this book and also enjoyed the (rarely seen) movie!
Thank you! I didn't know it was a movie until I googled images for it and saw the movie posters.
Nice, detailed work.
Tha phantom tollbooth, yes!!! I absolutely love that book! I hope you get a chance to read it someday. And I never heard someone say it was like a modern day Alice in Wonderland before, but now that I think about it, it's kinda true xD
