The Little Mermaid Book Sculpture by wetcanvas The Little Mermaid Book Sculpture by wetcanvas
The little mermaid rests on a copy of Anderson's Fairy Tales. The mermaid (or Ariel if you'd like) rests on a paper mache boulder, dipping her tail in the paper waves below her.

Sculpture measures approximately 11.5 inches long, 7 inches high and 8.5 inches wide. The sculpture is protected against sun and moisture with an ultraviolet protection spray.

Hello! I would like to notify you that I've featured you on my surreal and abstract art blog over on Tumblr. Your work really fits the theme, and you can see it on artagainstsociety.tumblr.com. Of course, I have given you credit and linked to your page. If for any reason you don't want it published any longer, just send me a message and I'll delete it pronto. Thanks, and congratulations! Your art is beautiful. Please note: If you don't see your art right away on my blog, it is probably still in the queue and has yet to be posted.

Thank you!  I don't have any videos at the moment.  If it helps, I try to think of sculpting like I would drawing.  Break everything down to basic shapes and build it back up again.
