Peter Pan Book Sculpture by wetcanvas Peter Pan Book Sculpture by wetcanvas
This one is also for the show in Tel Aviv. I REALLY liked this one, Barrie is by far my favorite author (read "A Kiss For Cinderella") and this piece came together nicely. Peter and the children are crossing from London and over the Neversea. It's a little hard to tell, but Hook and his crew, the crocodile, Indians, and pirate ship are all on or around Neverland.

Didn't know this kind of a technique exist!
Very beautiful, all of your work, but this one, I think, I like most :) Maybe 'cos I love Peter Pan!

It's a lovely tribute to this story. Thanks for sharing it. Do you exhibit your work anywhere? I'd love to be able to walk around a piece like this and see all the detail. It's amazing!

Thank you! This is one of my favorites! I have some work in galleries here in PA, Dancing Tree Creations in Boyertown, PA and The Pump Shak is Stroudsburgh, PA. I also have a few pieces in Tel Aviv and Eilat, Israel and hopefully some pieces going to the Netherlands this summer.

These sculptures are simply beautiful! The stories are instantly recognizable in each of them without having to look at the titles. Creativity in design and elegance in execution. Marvelous!

This is so wonderful. It's one of my favorite books of all time. Any chance you could do a tutorial on how you make these? Mostly because I'm just curious; I don't think I'd ever be able to replicate your work!

Thank you! I doubt I'll do a tutorial. I'm just not that handy with video taping or editing. If I can get someone else to record it or edit some pictures I will! Most of it is cutting simple shapes and putting them together just like when you're supposed to find the basic shapes in something you're drawing.

Well, it's just lovely. Sound like a good way to start is just eyeing simple shapes - something I need to work on. Thanks!

This is beyond amazing. Peter Pan has always been a great love of mine, and all of your renderings of him and his story bring me great joy. :)

This is by far the most beautiful Peter Pan themed art I've seen. I love it! Wish I could do this on my own, almost misleads me into trying but I guess it wouldn't turn out this well. Really great job!

Thank you so much! I' glad you enjoy it! Give it a try, work on some scrap paper until you're comfortable enough for a book. This one is really just basic shapes and illustrations.

I was impatient to see your interpretation of this book and she is magic. I hope that your show goes well.

Thank you! I keep coming back to Peter Pan. I love anything J.M. Barrie. If you have the time, read "A Kiss For Cinderella". One of those "I'm happy but so sad" stories. I hope the show goes well, but I wouldn't mind having this one sent back to me!

Thank you! I don't know what it is about this one, it's really pretty simple in comparison to some of the others, but there's something special about it. I'm glad you like it!

Sometimes, the charm still wins out over detail work. It's lovely!
