"No book was 'harmed' for this alteration"

I should've put that into my artist's comments. Half the people were ruthless. They behaved as if I had committed murder or something.

Ha, don't bother. They still throw fits. Props to you for making words. I tried that once, just two books made into initials with a heart in the middle for a friend's wedding. Nearly lost my mind making it. No matter what you do someone's going to hate you for it. Ignore them and just keep folding :)

That's very sweet. It's a lot simpler than most of the designs you usually come up with but for some reason I find it especially captivating. The 3D effect you achieved through folding the pages gives the heart a really nice rounded shape and I like how through the contrast between the textures created by the printed areas and the margins there appear to be more than just one heart in the book.

Plus the picture itself is actually very nice. It would make a great postcard.

A lot simpler in design but the execution was actually harder. Folding is not fun. I see what you mean about the illusion of another heart. I never noticed it before. I never thought about printing it into cards either. Thank you for the advice and critique. It's much appreciated.

And yet the last time I saw this sort of thing, everyone was commenting about how awful it is to destroy a book. Not original, do not like. :iconmystichuntress: already did this.

Many people have done this before. It's just another form of origami. Many people have done it, like many people have folded paper cranes.

I saw another book origami deviation the other day and noticed the same thing, about destroying a book. As long as it's not a super rare first edition, right? xD
