Two angels take flight in this book alteration. With ruffled dresses, layered wings and curled hair, they pop from the pages holding hymnals of their own. The book altered is a collection of spiritual songs for the organ, published in 1892.
Your pieces are amazing. It's so well thought out, because the figures seem to be coming out of the book. They really belong there. And you do so well in making them 3D.
Thank you! I can't take too much credit for the angels. The original was a commissioned piece and a collaborated idea. They're fun to do though, and the each turn out a little differently. I'm up to my elbows in angels right now, a gallery I have me books in want them for a Christmas line.
You're welcome. That's neat! And yeah getting a different set of brains helps an idea move forward because that person is very likely to think of something that you never thought of. D: Gah well good thing is that people really love them. Good luck in getting the Christmas gallery done! It'll be awesome!
