So even though this one is for sale, via my facebook page, it's still pretty personal. It seems to me that if I'm going through something, putting all of that in to a drawing helps me work through it, and I'm typically feeling much better about things by the time it's complete. Then it's time to pass it on, let someone else who needs some help with whatever feelings I've put in to something find what they're looking for in what I've done. Does that make sense? Maybe not, but it's what I'm going for.

Flower Symbolism:
Forget-me-not: A low-growing plant (Myosotis) with small, usually blue flowers . As the common name suggests, a symbol of a plea for remembrance. "Forget me not" are supposed to have been the last words of young man who fell into a river and drowned while picking these flowers for his lover.

Iris: Associated with death as Iris was a Greek goddess of the rainbow, which she used to travel down to earth with messages from the gods and to transport women's souls to the underworld. The three upright petals and three drooping sepals are symbols for faith, valor, and wisdom.

Pansies have long been flowers of remembrance. Indeed, they have often been placed upon memorial markers and stones to honor and remember those who are no longer on the physical plane. They are also a symbol of togetherness and union, and perhaps this is why they are so appropriate for remembering those who have passed from our lives. Their beauty is the perfect testimony to the love we have shared with others in the past. Keep pansies around you when you wish to remember the fond memories and kindnesses of loved ones who have passed from this earth.
