Commissioned piece. This one was a pain, but I'm so excited with the way it came out! The tentacles are made the same way as I make the necks of my dragons. Simple, but doing eight of them was grueling. The Nautilus...well, I think I probably made it four or five times before I finally figured out how to do it right. So, yeah, pain in the butt, but a good learning process. Definitely learned a new trick or two while making this one.

This is incredible! But my dad thinks it's just a waste of a good book. Do you use pages from the book in the sculpture?

Yes, the book pages make the sculpture. And no worries, my parents still think it's "different". But it's paying my bills so they can't complain too much!

Gosh I am so fasinated by your artwork. I have a million questions but I will stick to one. How long does it typically take you to do a piece?

Thank you! Typically they take between 8 to 15 hours. It depends on the amount of detail. I worked on this one off and on for a few days. The tentacles were driving me crazy and I had to step away, lol. Total, it probably took 10 to 12 hours.
